I designed and edited all 41 books in this series: 23 in the main series, 14 in the Itty Bitty series, 3 in the Mature series and one chords book. The content comes from my mom's 40+ years of teaching piano. My job was turning it into books that kids could actually follow. I designed every cover, laid out every page and built all the keyboard and music diagrams. Each level gets its own cover color so teachers and students can grab the right book at a glance.

An Art Deco logo and square business card. I kept it to two colors, gold and plum, and carried the same deco shapes from the logo onto both sides of the card.

A logo and business card for a drafting company. The roofline over the initials says "houses" right away, and I put a faded floor plan behind the card so it looks like the work they do.

RFE Communications and IMPACT

Logos

Two logos with very different feels. RFE is clean and simple, with a red signal icon for a communications company. IMPACT is gold foil, and I made it in two versions, with and without the "service above self" tagline.

Album art · Standard and limited edition (300 copies)

Two covers for the same album. The regular cover keeps it simple with the title over a sunset. For the limited run of 300, I repeated the word across a green background and highlighted one letter at a time going down, so it spells out ABIDE.

Menus and mailers

Clink Wine Bar + Bites

Two-sided menu · Direct-mail postcard

This menu has over 100 items and four pour sizes, so the main goal was making it easy to read. I lined up all the prices in clean columns so you can find what you want fast. I also designed their mailer, with photos of the space, happy hour info and a QR code that pulls up the menu.

Menu board

A tall menu for a coffee shop. I wanted it to feel relaxed and light, so I used lowercase item names, lots of spacing and soft botanical drawings.

Copper Wood and Island Snow Cafe

Business cards

Cards for a handmade jewelry and woodworking shop and a shaved ice and acai cafe. I wanted each card to feel like the business, so Copper Wood got copper lettering on wood grain, and Island Snow got a beachy look with starfish.

I've been designing since 2016. Most of that time went into Piano Revolution, where I designed and edited all 41 books in the series, from the covers and page layouts to the music diagrams, and got each one ready to print.

At PostNet I was the senior graphic designer and also managed two stores. I designed business cards, flyers, banners and forms for walk-in customers, usually on tight deadlines, and then printed and cut the jobs myself. I know what it takes to make a file that actually prints right.
